Making love work!

For love to grow over time, it must grow and change in positive ways.
This task requires commitment.

If you are experiencing difficulty in your relationship and would like to understand why this has happened, couples counselling gives partners the opportunity to talk and listen to one another openly and effectively.
We explore the dynamic of your relationship, and also how unfinished issues from the past may be influencing the present. When problems occur in a relationship, communication can shut down and with it, the best hope of finding a solution.

With a compassionate, non-judgemental facilitator present, partners are often able to do just this, by discussing issues or problems that had previously felt too difficult or unsafe. This new way of communicating can allow a relationship to flourish and grow again.

My purpose is to support both people as they look for creative, mutually beneficial solutions.

Some couples come for counselling simply because they feel that their relationship isn’t working to its full potential and want to find ways of making that happen.

Both short and long term counselling are available.

‘If you make a garden with someone, it is partly a celebration of your sameness…but it’s equally a celebration of your difference. It is only by allowing the other to take you where you would not have gone yourself that the garden becomes greater than the sum of its part.’
